Applies to all appointment bookings with Hair By Rose Essex
By booking an appointment with Hair By Rose Essex, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to protect both the client and stylist, ensure smooth scheduling, and maintain a professional service environment.
1. Bookings & Fees
All appointments must be booked online via HairByRoseEssex.com.
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment. This fee is applied toward your final balance.
Appointments are only confirmed once the booking fee is paid and any required intake forms are submitted.
2. New Client Consultations
New clients must book a consultation before their first appointment. This can be held virtually or in person.
The £10 consultation fee is deducted from your first booking if made within one month.
Consultations allow us to assess your hair needs and provide personalised service recommendations.
3. Hair Preparation
Clients must arrive with clean, fully detangled hair, free from heavy oils or product buildup unless your service includes a wash.
For braid services, hair should be stretched or blow-dried if specified in the service description. Failure to do so may result in cancellation or a prep fee.
4. Hair Extensions – Braids & Boho Styles
Synthetic braiding hair is included for most braid styles in colours 1, 1B, 2, or 4.
If you prefer to supply your own braiding hair, it must be received at least 72 hours before your appointment for prep.
Boho/Goddess Braids require human hair. You may:
Purchase RUKA Hair through our online shop, or
Provide your own human hair (also due 72 hours before your appointment)
Failure to provide hair on time may result in cancellation or rescheduling, and your booking fee will be forfeited.
Hair colour changes must be requested at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Lateness
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance without losing your booking fee.
Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the booking fee.
A 10-minute grace period is allowed for late arrivals. After 10 minutes, your appointment may be rescheduled or cancelled depending on availability.
Missed or significantly delayed appointments may require rebooking and repayment of the booking fee.
6. No-Shows
If you miss your appointment without notice, the card on file will be charged 50% of the remaining service balance plus the full value of any items or products ordered in advance.
Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
7. Guests & Children
Only the person receiving a service is allowed to attend the appointment.
(For children’s services, one adult may accompany the child.)This ensures a calm, safe, and professional environment for all clients.
8. Refunds & Adjustments
Services are non-refundable once completed.
If you have concerns, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment. Minor adjustments may be offered at our discretion.
9. Online Orders & Wig Sales
All sales of wigs, bundles, and hair accessories are final.
Turnaround times for custom wigs and pre-orders are provided at checkout.
Completed orders must be collected within 5 working days of the agreed collection date. After this, a storage fee may apply or the order may be posted at your expense.
10. Workshops & Events
Tickets for events and workshops are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another attendee with prior notice.
Children must be supervised at all times during events.

11. Respect & Conduct
Disrespectful, inappropriate, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to refuse service in such cases.Please inform us of any allergies, scalp conditions, or medical concerns at the time of booking.
